Sinharaja Rain Forest is one of the few virgin forests left in the world. This evergreen rain forest, a UNESCO World heritage site, is one of the few virgin rain forests left today. Damp mysterious and teeming with life, is the last expensive stretch of virgin rain forest on the island. At just over 11000 hectares, line across the wet zone the Southern edge of the hill country. It is staggering array of flora and fauna place it among the top bio diversity in the world. Over 130 birds, species are found here including many of the 33 species endemic to the Sri Lanka. There also rich reptile population and myriads of insects species, many yet to be classified. Mammals scenes here including the purple faced langur monkey and the giant squirrel. It is preferable to explore Sinharaja on foot, which makes for the truly authentic jungle experience.

Kanneliya Rain forest Tour

The Kanneliya complex is the last large remaining rainforest in Sri Lanka. The Reserve today, is  one of the most popular attractions. The forest reserve consists of a series of parallel hills and valleys ranging in elevation from 60m to 425m above sea level, and extending to an area of approximately 5306 hectares. It acts as a catchment for many rivers and streams; including Gin Ganga and Nilwala Ganga, that have their sources within the forest, and flow toward the west and the east of the forest respectively.

The forest boasts a diverse range of flora and fauna. You might see monkeys, snakes, chameleons, extensive birdlife and a vast range of tropical trees, plants and flowers and a beautiful waterfall

Duwili Ella Waterfalls Tour

Two large bathing ponds are built at the bottom of the falls by diverting the water from the stream. The first one is shallow and suitable for kids. The second one is little deeper but safe good for adults both pools which children and Adults can swim safely.  You can experience with fish therapy if you put your foot in to water in several places.

 

 

 

Bundala National Park Tour


 Bundala National Park. Bundala has been identified as an outstanding Important Bird Area in the South Indian and Sri Lankan wetlands. 324 species of vertebrates have been recorded in the national park, which include 32 species of fish, 15 species of amphibians, 48 species of reptiles, 197 species of birds and 32 species of mammals. 52 species of butterflies are among the invertebrates. The wetland habitats in Bundala harbours about 100 species of water birds, half of them being migrant birds. Of 197 avifaunal species 58 are migratory species. of birds, the highlight being the greater flamingo, which migrate in large flocks. The ecological areas of the national park contain seven terrestrial habitat types and six wetland types. The dry thorny shrubs and herbs being the most abundant plant life. A total of 383 plant species belonging to 90 families have been recorded from the park.

Madu River is a wetland, near the small town Balapitiya Experience the Sun Set while boat riding in Maadu Ganga.This wetland spreads over 900 heactares of area and most of it covered with water.
