Day 01
Welcome to sri lanka!
Upon arrival, you will be greeted at the airport by your friendly Sri Lanka tour guide, who will load your luggage into a Fleet as you ride to Dambulla to your first hotel.
DAY 02
Sigiriya
Explore the site in Sigiriya which includes five of the eight world heritage sites in Sri Lanka. Sigiriya rock was built by King Kasyapa and is the most famous tourist attraction in Sri Lanka. On top of a massive 200 meters high rock surrounded by the remains of an extensive network of gardens, reservoirs and other structures, King Kassapa had reverted his fortress to an ecological wonder by building royal pleasure gardens, water gardens, fountains, boulder gardens and Sigiri Apsaras
DAY 03
Kandy city tour
Head to Kandy, a large city in central Sri Lanka. It's set on a plateau surrounded by mountains, which are home to tea plantations and biodiverse rainforest. The city's heart is the scenic Kandy Lake (Bogambara Lake),
DAY 04
Kandy to ella train journey - the world`s most beautiful train trip
Take the Kandy to Ella train trip, which is considered one of the most scenic train journeys in the world.
DAY 05
Little adam's peak, ella
Examine the Little Adam's Peak that attracts many travellers who come to Sri Lanka. Take a leisurely hike up to the mountain of Little Adams Peak. The great thing about Hiking Little Adams Peak is that you will get some of the best views in the world, without tackling a challenging trail.
DAY 06
Udawalawe national park safari
Try a safari tour of Udawalawe National Park. Udawalawe is an important habitat for Sri Lankan elephants and is also known as a good bird watching site in Sri Lanka. Bird lovers would get a wonderful opportunity to observe many different varieties of birds,national park provides a home for many other species of mammals such as the rusty-spotted cat, fishing cat. Jeeps specialised for optimised viewing will take gravel paths into the deep forest for the best viewing experience
DAY 07
Visit sinharaja rain forest
Venture into Sinharaja Rain Forest. This evergreen rain forest, a UNESCO World Heritage site, is one of the few virgin rain forests left to date. It is a staggering array of flora and fauna which places it among the top biodiversity in the world. Over 130 birds species are found here including many of the 33 species endemic to Sri Lanka. There is also an abundant reptile population and myriads of insects species, many yet to be classified. It is preferable to explore Sinharaja on foot, which makes for a truly authentic jungle experience.
DAY 08
Whale watching boat tour
Take the whales and dolphins watching boat trip from Mirissa harbour. Blue Whale watching is a seasonal activity.
During the whale migration season it’s easy to spot Blue whales, Bryde´s whales, Sperm whales, Fin whales, sometimes Killer whales, and Common dolphins, Bottlenose dolphins, Spinner dolphins, Risso's dolphins and Striped dolphins.
DAY 09
Beach day
Spend a full day at Unawatuna Beach to rest and relax.
DAY 10
Galle fort
Visit Galle Fort, a Unesco World Heritage Site. The Galle Fort is known as the Dutch Fort or the Ramparts of Galle, in the Bay of Galle on the southwest coast of Sri Lanka. It was built first in 1588 by the Portuguese, then extensively fortified by the Dutch during the 17th century from 1649 onwards.
See the International Cricket Stadium Galle situated near the Galle Fort. It is considered to be one of the most picturesque cricket grounds in the world.
Examine the Galle Clock Tower located within the Galle Fort. The Clock Tower is a famous landmark and overlooks the central Moon Bastion, on the site of the former guard room. The Clock Tower was constructed in 1883 Galle Lighthouse This is Sri Lanka's oldest light station dating back to 1848
DAY 11
Madu river boat safari
Head out from the coastal town of Balapitiya to witness the sunset while boat riding in Madu Ganga. This wetland spreads over 900 hectares of area and most of it covered with water. There is a total of 64 islands in Madu Ganga. This tour will take around 2 to 3 hours. During your boat ride, you can see a huge mangrove forest by the river banks. The boats will ride under a short tunnel, which is made out of mangrove. You can see many birds and animals who are living in this aquatic environment.
DAY 12
Time to say goodbye ! -colombo airport
Drop off by your Sri Lankan tour guide at the international airport or a hotel in Colombo.
